IDPwD: Make your Attitude Count

« Go back

03 December 2014

Today is the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD).

We encourage you to take some time today to hear from people with disability share their personal experiences of exclusion and discrimination.

People with disabilities tell us all the time that the biggest barrier to inclusion is the negative attitudes that they face in their everyday lives. Entrenched discrimination means that people with disability are not able to fully contribute to their communities and often means they or their families have to fight for basic rights to education, health and to be heard.

Watch the video and see what some people with disability say about what it is like to live with disability in their country and how they respond to this exclusion.
