It is God's will that all people get to experience life and life in all its fullness, the abundant life promised in John 10:10. As we pursue this common good for all people, recognising our dependence on one another and how deeply connected we all are, we point people to the God who created it all.

What does seeking the common good like in the Asian context and what role does the church have to play in this?

This consultation seeks to explore the theological affirmation to seek the common good as well as to point society to the new Kingdom. As we discover how the prophets in the Bible called governments to account and spoke out for justice, righteousness, compassion for the oppressed and vulnerable, we will ask ourselves how this looks in practice in the various contexts in the region today.

Core themes we will explore through an integral mission lense include:

  • Theology of the Common Good
  • Church and Political Engagement
  • Inter faith Dialogue for the Common Good
  • Gender violence and domestic violence
  • Good governance
  • Baseline surveys, Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Re-thinking church
  • Sustainable Development Goals
  • Social-environmental conflicts and reconciliation
  • Christian response to violence
  • Urban Shalom
  • Corruption
  • Community resilience
  • Training assistance in Integral Mission
  • Walking with the Poor

For cancellations, please note our refund policy.
