Justice and Resilience

The joy of being in a dynamic network is the shared learning opportunities. This year we are launching a series of webinars. The first webinar training series consists of three sessions lead by Dr David Boan on  the theme of Justice and Resilience.

The webinar series on justice and resilience has become particularly timely since the arrival of Covid-19.  In response to current events, we will be sure to address justice and resilience in the context of Covid-19.  This includes addressing such questions as the impact on Covid-19 on community resilience, how a crisis has revealed and amplified disparities and injustice in the community, and what is the role of the church in supporting resilience in the face of Covid-19.

The three interconnected sessions will be held as per the dates and titles below. Each session will be one hour in length. The webinar will be held on our Zoom Platform. In order to get the log in link and code to take part you will need to register your name and email at events@micahglobal.org

This webinar will be in English, so if you require translation please arrange to have your interpreter sitting with you.

Dates and Time of webinars:

Time: 10:00 (ET) USA/New York | 15:00 UK | 16:00 Africa/Johannesburg

The titles of the sessions:

 2.      Justice and Resilience
How are justice and resilience connected? What if justice is not only something that is present in a resilient community, but actually contributes to resilience? Is there evidence for a justice and resilience connection?
 3.      The Implications for a Justice and Resilience Connection
How might we apply the connection between justice and resilience to relief and development? To civil conflict?  To immigration?
